Installation begins before the truck arrives
Commercial fitness equipment is large, heavy and often delivered into active or newly finished buildings. A coordinated installation plan protects the schedule, the facility and the equipment while giving site teams a clear handover process.
Confirm site readiness
- Construction and flooring are complete and cured
- Power, data, lighting and ventilation are operational
- The delivery route is clear and protected
- Door, corridor and elevator dimensions are confirmed
- Loading access and building time restrictions are documented
- A site contact is available to approve final placement
Coordinate freight and access
Delivery planning should identify dock or curb access, parking limitations, elevator bookings, security procedures and required certificates or site documentation. Multi-floor and occupied properties may need phased work to reduce disruption.
Assembly, placement and testing
Equipment should be assembled according to manufacturer requirements, positioned against the approved layout and checked for stability, clearances and basic operation. Powered equipment requires suitable electrical service; connected products may also require network coordination by the facility.
Protect finished spaces
New flooring, walls, elevators and common areas need a protection plan. Confirm who is responsible for route preparation, debris removal and access restoration before delivery day.
Handover and records
At completion, confirm equipment placement, note visible damage or deficiencies, retain serial and warranty information, and identify operational contacts. Staff should know how to report a service concern and where product documentation is stored.
Plan delivery with the quote
Send Spartan Commercial the project address, proposed layout, site restrictions and required completion date. The team can incorporate the available delivery and installation scope into the commercial proposal rather than treating logistics as an afterthought.
